Shirley Vauvelle

Shirley’s hand-built stoneware sculptures convey her emotional connection to nature, with scale, power and vulnerability in her natural locality. She communicates through shape, surface, texture and colour in a semi abstract way, incorporating smaller porcelain insert elements that can be playfully altered to change the composition. She works full-time from her studio located near Scarborough.
