Joseph Ludkin

I make reduction fired pottery from my studio in North Yorkshire. Whilst Japanese and Korean pottery traditions influence my forms and techniques, I also draw inspiration from the county I live in through a response to its wild and dramatic topography and the use of patterns and emblems derived from its rich history. My work is connected physically through the use of raw materials foraged from the surrounding landscape.
