Qi Fang Colbert

Qi Fang Colbert, a northumberland based artist, specialises in creating original free-hand carved narrative stoneware ceramics, using an ancient medieval and Japanese carving technique. Her works are individually hand-carved with inlaid illustrations and original narratives that are inspired by life stories, social transformations and our interaction with nature. As a result each work is unique in style and form that include a quirky, playful and symbolic narrative representation of our evolving and transforming identities, interactions with nature, feminism or cultural boundaries.
