Sharon explores what it is like to be human, merging folklore tales, stories from ancestors and psychology references within figures, busts and characters.
The figures are slab built using a variety of different clays before slip, oxides, glazes are applied. Having an unconventional approach to ceramics, Sharon uses her fine art background to influence the highly textured surfaces. Each one unique and individual.
Her work can be both joyful and unnerving, leaving the viewer with an unease at times. Sharon lives and works in Shropshire
